It was not the end, maybe some new beginning?

Ha-ha, I like how the things turn around. I came back, for 10 days end of November/beg of December, for some astrophysics meeting in Hsinchu.
We had a meeting...well, oficial part was usual, but unofficial was real astrophysics, as the TIARA fridge in the middle of one 'event' shows (empty place on the bottom was also beers...WAS, yes... ;-) :

Btw, ALWAYS buy Taiwan beer in bottles, never in cans! Bottled one is quite reasonable, when the can one is dog's piss.
That you would not think that I am biased, not everything in Taiwan is beautiful or wanderful: here is the back-view from the hotel room in the B... hotel:

In Taichung, known views-for the ones who may be missing it, I give some. Interesting, this building I do not remember from the last time, although it is quite ...visible. Sitong-one new friend from there, says it was there all the time-in fact old unused building it is. Obviously I had some better views around when visiting Taichung...

Jungle on asphalt? YES! See bottom right! :-)

Thanks to David, I catched some hiking during the only weekend there.
This time we were Czech, Leh, Austrian and American in jungle-we planned to go for some 3000m peak, but it showed road has been washed down sonce 2 months-3 of 4 roads through the middle Taiwan are fictitious ones these days-so we had to accept the reality of some hills. But it was also pleasant, with nice jungle moments:

Leaving Taiwan was not easy at all. Only the fact that I felt I will come back made it easier.
In Singapore airport I saw one unusual outpost of TIARA, curious if Rebecca would like to work there ;-)
