Lake in the middle of...chips: Lake Placid

When one does not have too much time for travels around, it is good to go behind the corner. In the middle of superhypergiga-tech Hsinchu Science Park is hidden...what would else be than Lake Placid. On the way there you can also meet the castle

It is not the house of some local gang leader, but newly built primary school, painting still drying. As usual, "interesting" architecture, it seems in Taiwan anyone can finish architecture, and then just copy-paste Lego models...
The lake is nicely included in a bit less nice landscape

I am not ironical, it is really nice to go out from the buildings and come to something like this:

They try to keep the spirit of Chinese Pavilion, ok, it is in concrete, but the effort is here ...

Someone wanted to be creative, so he posted the concrete panels up, as if there would not be enough concrete areound and at the ground...

his temple I was already showing, but today another camera and a bit better light. Lipns varwed in the stone are the largest value of this temple.

When you enter, you meet few of such cylinders with lights, every year family pays for having the name of the deceased near the light. Kind of 'all year' mass for dead ones, or eternal candel-light...people really have ideas...

But, as I said, here religion is alive, not only turistical attraction.
